Instructional Internships at FLVS

FLVS currently offers over 180 courses across the K-12th grade curriculum and has over 600 state certified clinical educators. FLVS University Partnerships offer a wide variety of opportunities from hosting education majors and graduate students to school counseling internships. To qualify, interested interns must reside in the state of Florida.

Since 2009, preservice candidates have selected numerous courses across the curriculum to complete their requirements. As of March 2018, FLVS has hired 114 pre-service candidates for positions within the organization.

History

FLVS, the leader in online learning, opened its doors to help preservice candidates prepare for the 21stcentury classroom almost a decade ago.  In Spring 2009, FLVS established our first university partnership with the University of Central Florida. What began as a small seven-week pilot with six junior level interns has developed into an open-access field experience available to junior, senior and graduate level interns who reside in the state of Florida.

By summer 2018, the FLVS University Partnership program will have hosted over 650 interns in over 20 different subject areas ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
