Florida Virtual School (FLVS), a statewide public school district in the state of Florida and international provider of award-winning education products and services, has been honored with a Tech & Learning Award for Unlock. This award recognized innovative products, applications, or software that adds significant enhancements to education tools. Tech & Learning magazine named 124 education technology products as winners in its prestigious 34-year-old recognition program.

Florida Virtual School and Ucompass Work Together to Ensure Student Success

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) and Ucompass, the longtime Learning Management System (LMS) provider for FLVS, have entered into an agreement to transfer ownership of the Educator LMS Software and other related assets to FLVS. Acquiring the Educator LMS will allow FLVS to protect the student experience as the school district transitions from Educator to D2L’s Brightspace LMS.

FLVS and the Florida Wildlife Commission Offer More Students the Opportunity to Get Their Hunting License

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) and The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announce the launch of Outdoor Education’s new “Virtual Field Day” (VFD) segments.  The VFD was developed by Fresh Air Educators to help students earn their Florida Hunter Education Certification which is required to obtain a Florida Hunters License.

FLVS Full Time Students Head Back to School for the 2016-17 School Year

Students at Florida Virtual School Full Time (FLVS Full Time), a tuition-free online public school serving grades Kindergarten-12 statewide, headed back to school this week for the start of the 2016-17 academic year. While technology continues to transform the way students learn, Florida families are looking beyond traditional schooling to provide their students with a 21st century education from FLVS Full Time.
