Instructional Candidate Interview Process

Since FLVS has rolling enrollment for students, we are constantly assessing student needs and making hiring decisions. The candidate pipeline is a pool of teachers who have successfully completed the interview process which allows us to quickly onboard qualified candidates as soon as our students need them.

In order to be considered for an instructional position with FLVS, you must complete an online application and upload the following documents:

  • Resume
  • Performance Evaluations
  • Recommendation Letters
  • Copy of Teaching certificate and/or Statement of Eligibility
  • DD214, if applicable
  • Criminal Background and/or Work Performance Documentation, if applicable

After a review of your application, you may be contacted to complete a 20-30 minute phone interview with one of our Talent Management associates. You should be prepared to share examples from your teaching experience and answer questions about your qualifications. This is also a great time for you to ask questions you may have about the hiring process or about teaching at FLVS.  

After completing a phone interview, candidates may be asked to complete online assessments as part of the review process.

After completing your phone interview, you may be invited to attend an information session. This involves attending a face-to-face classroom-style session at our Orlando office. The session will consist of presentations as well as individual and group activities designed to educate you about FLVS and determine if FLVS might be the best fit as an employer for you.

After attending the information session, you will have the opportunity to complete a face-to-face interview with an Instructional Leader and/or School Principal. 
Within 7-10 days of completing the interview process, the candidate will receive an update via email.
