Craig D. Feiser
Craig D. Feiser joined FLVS as Deputy General Counsel in November 2024. Prior to joining FLVS, Mr. Feiser spent nearly fourteen years as an Assistant General Counsel with the City of Jacksonville’s Office of General Counsel, handling litigation, appeals, and a wide variety of legal counsel to boards and agencies within the Consolidated City, including serving as the City’s liaison for Florida public records and Sunshine Law issues. Mr. Feiser also served as a Special Magistrate for the City and legal counsel to the Civil Service Board.
Before that, Mr. Feiser practiced commercial litigation at two private law firms, as well as serving as a Deputy Solicitor General with Florida’s Solicitor General’s Office in Tallahassee. The Florida Solicitor General handles all appellate matters for the Attorney General’s Office, including matters involving the Florida Governor’s Office and all State agencies. Mr. Feiser handled appeals in all of Florida’s state appellate courts, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Feiser also served as a law clerk to the Hon. John H. Moore, a federal judge in the Middle District of Florida, and the Hon. Gerald B. Tjoflat of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He also taught law school as a professor at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville and the Florida State University College of Law.
Mr. Feiser earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University and worked as a journalist for daily newspapers prior to attending the University of Florida College of Law, where he graduated with honors in 1998 and also earned a master’s degree in mass communication with a focus on media and public records law. He has published numerous articles on various legal topics, including public records, Sunshine Law, and ethics issues. Mr. Feiser is Florida Bar Board Certified in Appellate Practice.
