Clubs are the perfect way to get involved and make new friends. With more than 60 clubs to choose from, there is something for everyone.
Club Rush
There are a lot of clubs to explore—from yoga and American Sign Language to eSports and photography! But they fill up quickly, so be sure to check them out at Club Rush! This informational event takes place during the first month of school.
Club Competitions
Competitions are a great way to engage even further with your favorite subject. Clubs like Speech and Debate, Future Farmers of America (FFA), and French Club all attend competitions.

Online learning doesn’t have to stay at home. At Florida Virtual School, we make sure there are lots of opportunities to get out in the world and in-person with your classmates. You’ll also frequently interact digitally with your teachers and peers through live lessons.

Field Trips
Field trips are a fun way to get hands-on experience with the topics you’re learning about in school. You might get to visit destinations like the Orlando Science Center, the NASA Kennedy Space Center, the Central Florida Zoo, and much more!

Meetups
Each grade level has their own unique opportunities to meet in-person. This could be anything from going to a conference related to your course, volunteering at a food bank, or even a book swap!

Graduation
Our graduating Firebirds celebrate their big day by getting together in-person for a ceremony with all the pomp and circumstance you could hope for.

Live Lessons
Live lessons are a great chance to interact with your teacher and other students in real time. You’ll interact through games, working documents, polls, quizzes, and more in order to strengthen and reinforce your lessons in new and fun ways.
Student Publications
We offer several opportunities for students to share their unique perspectives and make their voices heard. Whether you’re interested in writing, photography, art, or more, you could find your work published in one of our digital publications.
Virge Literary Magazine
Our literary magazine, Virge, is a semi-annual digital publication of collected works by our students which includes fiction, non-fiction, art, and photography. We’re proud to highlight the inspiring work of our talented students.
Student Newspaper: News In a Click
The student newspaper club regularly publishes news articles to our student newspaper, “News in a Click.” This is a great opportunity for middle and high school students to dip their toes into the exciting world of journalism!
Yearbook: Unbound
Florida Virtual School provides a yearbook for our students in the Full Time program and Individual Courses (Flex) program. The books are available both digitally and in print and showcase layouts designed by FLVS students depicting student life, clubs, and events throughout the school year.
