SAFE DRIVING AWARENESS AND FAMILY DAY PLANNED FOR APRIL 29 AT WATERFORD LAKES TOWN CENTER

In support of National Safety Council’s Distracted Driving Awareness month, Florida Virtual School® (FLVS®) will host an educational Safe Driving and Family Day in partnership with Waterford Lakes Town Center to increase automotive safety and awareness on Saturday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot located behind Old Navy. The event will feature guest speakers and vendors providing safety tips to parents and students, family activities, treats and more at Orlando’s largest open air shopping, dining and entertainment destination.Related News

Students Named 2026 Sunshine State Scholars for Excellence in STEM
Florida Virtual School (FLVS) students Julia Rossini and Cade Respess have been named among Florida’s top science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) scholars for 2026. Connal Queen was selected as the alternate for the prestigious Sunshine State Scholars program.

Florida Virtual School Graduation Rate Climbs to All‑Time High of 97%
Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) achieved a 97% graduation rate for the 2024–25 academic year, the highest in the school’s history, according to a report from the Florida Department of Education. The rate increased by 0.4 percentage points from the previous year and by seven percentage points since 2021-22.
