Florida Governor Signs Bill Removing Virtual Education Eligibility Restrictions

On June 15, 2017, Governor Rick Scott signed HB 7069 which included language to remove the eligibility requirements in f.s. 1002.455 currently impacting Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Flex students in grades 2-5. This bill will go into effect on July 1, 2017.Related News

Florida Virtual School Graduation Rate Climbs to All‑Time High of 97%
Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) achieved a 97% graduation rate for the 2024–25 academic year, the highest in the school’s history, according to a report from the Florida Department of Education. The rate increased by 0.4 percentage points from the previous year and by seven percentage points since 2021-22.
