FLVS Launches New Coding Course for Middle Schoolers

In celebration of Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 9-15, 2019), Florida Virtual School (FLVS), the online statewide public school district, has opened enrollment for a new career and technical education (CTE) middle school course, Middle/Junior (M/J) Coding Fundamentals.

Enrollment Now Open for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools Ahead of 2026–27 Academic Year
Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools (FLVS Full Time) opens June 1 for the 2026–27 school year and is open to Florida students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Families can apply through July 17. Early submission is encouraged due to the limited window. Classes begin August 19.

Nearly 1,500 students graduated from Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) on May 29, forming the largest graduating class in the school's history. More than half, 56%, earned academic distinction, achieving grade point averages above 3.5.
