Enrollment Now Open for Second Semester
November 4, 2025
Enrollment is now open for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools (FLVS Full Time) second semester, offering Florida students a flexible, high-quality online education from certified teachers.
Enrollment is now open for the second semester at Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools (FLVS Full Time), the state's only fully virtual public school district. Florida families with students in grades Kindergarten through 12 can apply between Nov. 3-19. Due to the limited enrollment window, early applications are strongly encouraged.
FLVS Full Time continues to set the standard for online education in Florida. Students consistently rank among the top performers statewide on the Florida Assessments of Student Thinking (FAST) and End-of-Course (EOC) exams. Their outstanding results placed FLVS in the top 10 non-lab school districts statewide across multiple subjects, including English Language Arts (ELA), U.S. History, and Biology 1.
“At Florida Virtual School, we are proud to offer students across the state a high-quality, flexible education that meets their individual needs,” said Dr. Louis Algaze, president and CEO of FLVS. “The continued academic success of our FLVS Full Time students reflects the dedication of our certified teachers and the strength of our online curriculum. We invite families to explore the opportunities available and join a thriving virtual school community this spring.”
Florida continues to lead the nation in school choice, recently earning the No. 1 ranking on the Parent Power! Index by the Center of Education Reform (CER) and topping the list for choice programs.
FLVS Full Time offers a comprehensive online learning experience taught by state-certified teachers using a curriculum developed specifically for online learning. Students take six courses per semester and can earn their diploma upon meeting graduation requirements. With access to more than 200 courses, students can explore core subjects (regular and honors), electives, world languages, and Career and Technical Education.
High school students may also enroll in Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, or pursue a Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) diploma. In 2025 alone, 15 students graduated with their associate’s degree alongside their high school diploma, and 40 students graduated with an AICE diploma, showcasing the academic rigor and opportunities available through FLVS Full Time.
Beyond academics, FLVS Full Time offers a robust support system including academic assistance, school counselors, student services, and family resources. Students can participate in a wide variety of extracurriculars and vibrant social activities, including in-person field trips, regional meet-ups, and more than 80 online clubs and activities, fostering a vibrant and connected school community.
In addition to the full-time option, FLVS also offers FLVS Flex for families interested in supplementing their learning or homeschool education with individual courses. Registration for individual courses is available year-round.
Families interested in enrolling in FLVS Full Time for the second semester should apply online.
