Florida Virtual School Names First-Ever National Geographic Bee School Champion

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is proud to announce 6th grade student Jacob Maynard as its winner of the first round of the National Geographic Bee (Geo Bee) competition. Maynard competed alongside other members of the FLVS Geography Club, all of whom live in various cities across the state. The competition took place at the FLVS headquarters in Orlando. This was the first time FLVS, or any virtual school, has competed in the National Geo Bee.Related News

Florida Virtual School Graduation Rate Climbs to All‑Time High of 97%
Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) achieved a 97% graduation rate for the 2024–25 academic year, the highest in the school’s history, according to a report from the Florida Department of Education. The rate increased by 0.4 percentage points from the previous year and by seven percentage points since 2021-22.
