Hear From Our Past Interns
Colton Tapoler
Intern: 2011-2012
Current Instructional Leader
“I interned with FLVS after being a student here myself. My mission was to pursue a career providing to others the kinds of opportunities that I had been afforded thanks to our programs. FLVS serves in the unique role of being a school district that students and families choose for specific reasons. Being a part of the educational solutions for these students is why interning here was so important to me. If you want to be a part of solutions for students, FLVS is waiting for you.”
Molly Forestner
Intern: 2010
Current Instructional Leader
“Prior to my FLVS internship, I had already completed an internship at another school. Once my internship at FLVS began, I had this profound sense of impact that I did not feel in the entirety of my ‘traditional’ internship. Being able to take the extra time with students who needed it and truly provide individualized instruction was the most eye-opening experience. Before the semester ended, I knew FLVS was where I was meant to be.”
Jessica Strong
Intern: 2015
Current Instructor
“I wasn’t familiar with Florida Virtual School until I began my internship in 2015, and I was excited to see how engaging online education could be. That internship shaped both my pedagogy and my life! Not only have I made lifelong connections with incredible students, families, and colleagues, I was blessed to be chosen as the 2023 District Teacher of the Year and the 2023 Ron Nieto Digital Educator of the Year by the Florida Department of Education!”
