ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 4, 2024) — Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools (FLVS Full Time) is now open for the second semester. The enrollment deadline is Nov. 15.
With FLVS Full Time, students in Kindergarten-12th grade have access to more than 200 online courses, 80 clubs, one-on-one support from state-certified teachers, and the structure of a traditional 180-day school calendar paired with the flexibility of online learning. The second semester runs from Jan. 9 to May 29, 2025.
“Our FLVS Full Time teachers and instructional support teams ensure that every student has the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive,” said Katie Santana, senior director of instruction for FLVS Full Time. “Through teacher support and a wide range of student activities, our goal is to support students’ academic growth and social development, ensuring families feel empowered at every step of their learning journey.”
According to a National School Choice Week survey, 72% of parents across the U.S. explored new school options for their children last year, seeking tailored, flexible learning environments that fit their child’s academic needs and family lifestyle. As a leader in online learning, FLVS Full Time creates a vibrant online learning community where students, after completing graduation requirements, may be granted a stated-issued Florida diploma by Florida Virtual School.
A traditional school experience in a flexible environment
FLVS Full Time follows a traditional 180-day calendar school year (August-May), offering the same structure as brick-and-mortar schools. Students take a standard six-course load each semester, with access to more than 200 online courses. These courses include:

All courses are developed specifically for the online learning environment and are taught by state-certified teachers who guide students to success through personalized instruction and one-on-one support. These courses can be completed on students’ schedules and are available 24 hours, seven days a week, allowing maximum flexibility to meet each student’s needs.
