Florida Virtual School Launches 12 New Online Courses for Middle and High School Students
Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is launching 12 new online courses to ensure students have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in college and the workforce. From Foundations of Machine Learning, the final course in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) program of study, to world language courses like Chinese 4 Honors, and more, the goal of each new course is to give students more choice in what and how they like to learn so they can discover their passions and interests.

Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools Now Open for 2024-25
Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools is now open for the 2024-25 school year. The full-time option provides students in grades Kindergarten through 12 with a supportive learning experience that combines the flexibility of online learning with the structure of a traditional 180-day school calendar. Open enrollment is open until July 12.

More than 1,110 Students Graduated From Florida Virtual High School
1,163 students received their high school diploma from Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) yesterday, May 22, surrounded by thousands of their peers, family members, and friends. More than half of this year’s graduating class have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher, exceeding the national average of 3.0.

Florida Virtual School is proud to recognize five students graduating at the top of the 2024 class. There are a projected 1,168 students from across the state in this year’s Florida Virtual High School graduating class, with the top five students hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and surrounding areas.

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) recognized more than 200 student leaders during the annual Club Awards Day on April 9 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, FL. This in-person event highlighted the achievements of students participating in the virtual school’s more than 60 clubs.

Florida Virtual School is now hiring for more than 190 new positions across the state. These 190 jobs, which include teachers, instructional leaders, paraprofessionals, school counselors, and school registrars, will support the Florida Scholars Academy.

More than 375 students and dozens of industry professionals from across the state attended the Florida Virtual School (FLVS) inaugural Student Career Fair and Expo on Feb. 29. Florida Virtual School Graduation Rate Increases
During the 2022-23 academic year, the Florida Virtual School (FLVS) graduation rate increased to 92.6%, surpassing the previous rate by 2.6 percentage points. This accomplishment places Florida Virtual Full Time Public School among the top 10 non-lab school districts in Florida.

NEW Course Helps Students Meet Statewide Graduation Requirement

Enrollment for Florida Virtual Full Time Public Schools is Now Open Through Nov. 9
As Florida families continue to consider their children’s education options, Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Full Time Public Schools enrollment is now open for the second semester of the 2023-24 school year. Open enrollment is slated to run from Oct. 30 to Nov. 9.
