FLVS Teacher Takes Third Place At World Wide Adaptive CrossFit Championships
FLVS Language Arts 2 instructor, Sarah Kendrick, recently finished in third place World-Wide in the Adaptive Division of the CrossFit Games. Kendrick, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in her early 20s and also lives with epilepsy, competed in the Neuro and Muscular Adaptive Division, a category designed for athletes facing neurological and muscular challenges, including conditions like stroke, brain tumors, and Parkinson’s disease.

FLVS Alumna Will Make Her Collegiate Debut at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup
Florida State University women's golf freshman Alexandra Gazzoli will make her collegiate debut at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club as a member of the lineup for the No. 14 Seminoles. She graduated from FLVS in 2024 and won the individual 2A state championship as a junior in 2022.

FLVS Student Heading to the University of Kansas for Swimming
Distance specialist Aubrey Tuthill is headed to Kansas next fall to continue her studies and swim for the Jayhawks. Originally from Florida, Tuthill currently attends Florida Virtual School and trains with the Tampa Bay Aquatic Club.

FLVS Student Stars in Netflix Thriller
Filmed when he was nine, Anthony B. Jenkins stars as the youngest son in "The Deliverance," which is now on Netflix. You can also catch him in the Peacock series "Fight Night," in which Kevin Hart plays his dad, and most recently as Halle Berry's son in "Never Let Go," which opened Sept. 20 in theaters.

FLVS Senior a Five-Star Tennis Recruit
FLVS senior Daniela Chica has risen to 51st in the Tennis Recruiting Network Girls Rankings, up from No. 77. She boasts a 12-2 singles record, including a victory at the 18s J60 Kingston tournament in Kingston, Jamaica. Daniela also advanced to the second round of the USTA Girls' Clay Court Championships and reached the consolation quarterfinals.

Ivan Taylor, a standout senior defensive back, is recognized as one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the nation for his position. Committed to excellence both on and off the field, he is currently completing Florida Virtual School (FLVS) courses with the goal of graduating early in January. This accelerated path will allow him to begin his collegiate journey at the University of Michigan.

FLVS Alumna Wins Silver at Paris Olympics
FLVS alumna Daniella Ramirez and the U.S. artistic swimming team won silver for their performance at the Paris Olympics. The silver was the first medal by the U.S. in the team event in 20 years, dating back to 2004 in Athens when they won bronze.

FLVS Alumna Wins Gold in Surfing!
FLVS alumna Caroline Marks won the gold medal for the United States in the Paris Olympics women's surfing final. Marks scored a 10.50 to defeat Brazil's Tatiana Weston-Webb during the final at the Teahupo'o in Tahiti.
